Loving My Heart Favors!

The couple picked out a astonishing heart wedding for their choice of décor, and what they did with it was spectacular. Everything that had anything to do with the wedding had a heart design, the invites and gifts and everything. The remarkable hearts favors were really exquisite with two silver hearts printed on the front with all the necessary information on where, who and when printed inside. They were really quite beautiful. They picked out very elegant candle holders for the unity and tapered candles, and of course there were two small hearts dangling from the unity candle. The altar looked fabulous with all the lovely flower bouquets and the candle setting. The tulle was strung from pew to pew, with little hearts on the pews as well. I’m sure that the hearts were related to the wedding day falling on Valentine’s Day. I have to admit it was a beautiful ceremony and the bride was simply stunning.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. White roses, and some red ones, were placed in the middle of each table, and the place cards were put in holders designed around a silver hearts wedding. The wine glasses and champagne glasses made the tables sparkle. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. They were double hearts wedding flutes, with the two silver hearts linked together, just like on the hearts wedding invitation they sent me.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. The cake topper she chose, believe it or not, wasn’t a heart, but, figurines that looked exactly like the bride and groom. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She said she bought it at a wedding website where she got all of her accessories and reception supplies. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
In the end, we gave a hearts wedding to all of the guests. We got coffee in a bride or groom styled package, along with a heart shaped coffee scooper, and then we also got very pretty votive candle holders. I thought that was really a cute idea they came up with. Come to think of it, their entire wedding day was filled with sharp ideas they had. The whole hearts genre matched Valentine’s Day, but I was still surprised at how many supplies and wedding items she found to fit that theme. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She informed me that they had products for any kind of gathering you might be throwing, and she agreed to show me the website. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. I’m sure the bride and groom are having a great week in Mexico too. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.

My Valentine Hearts Wedding Day

I’m an incurable romantic, and thank heavens my fiance is too. That’s why we chose Valentines Day to be our wedding day. I know most people don’t like to have their wedding on the same day as a holiday, but we were really looking forward to it. It just seemed right to celebrate our marriage on a day that is especially known for romance.

You’d really be surprised how many wedding decorations and accessories there are to go with a valentine theme. There was everything from invitations to hearts party favors, and I wanted my wedding and reception done in a romantic motif.  That’s one reason hearts were just perfect.

I had an absolutely gorgeous dress and all of my bridesmaids, maid of honor and even my little flower girl, with her beautiful basket of roses, looked so elegant as they walked down the aisle. My fiance and all of the groomsmen and the little ring bearer were very handsome in their tuxedos. Of course, my fiance was extra handsome. We did everything in our ceremony the traditional way. The music, the flowers and we even made up our own vows to say.  My dad gave me away, my fiances brother was his best man, and my sister was my maid of honor. Which, by the way, worked out nicely because the best man and the maid of honor seemed to hit if off quite well at the reception.  There may be another wedding coming our way, in the near future.

My reception was almost as romantic as my ceremony. I chose a lovely heart shaped cake topper with two little doves to rest on top of our three tiered wedding cake. It really looked exquitsite.  I had crystal champagne flutes for the toast to the bride and groom, and beautiful flowery centerpieces with little butterflies in the arrangements. I did get a lot of compliments on the reception décor, from many of our guests. At first I was a little afraid I may have gone overboard on all the heart stuff I bought, but everyone kept telling me how fantastic everything looked, so I guess I didn’t get too crazy with them.  Even when it came to the wedding favors I had hearts in mind.  But these really were beautiful hearts favors candles with two little silvers hearts on the holder. I liked them so much I bought a couple extra for myself.

All my guests seemed to like them. Two of the ladies at my reception thanked me for such a lovely gift, and one of them wanted to know where I bought them, so she could pick up a few extra. They really were quite adorable, and they made great place card holders too.

It wasn’t easy choosing the wedding favors for everyone. I found so many things I wanted to buy, but, you just can’t have them all. But I did pick out something special for my bridesmaids, my maid of honor and my flower girl. My fiance picked out the gifts for the groomsmen, best man and ring boy. We also got some wonderful gifts for our parents, of course, which they really seemed to appreciate.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the ceremony and some of them got to take a rose home, as a souvenir from our flower girls basket.  We also had a great time at the reception, with lots of dancing, good food and lots of laughs. Maybe I did go a little crazy with the heart motif, but what can I say, I loved my valentine hearts wedding day, and the memories will last a us lifetime.
