Hang Tags Were The Best Way To Go

A friend of mine shopped for wedding favors with me, and even though I had help, it was hard deciding what to buy.  There were so many nice things to choose from. They had beautiful candles and candle holders, little flower vases and mini photo albums, and that’s just to name a few.  I’m having a storybook wedding and reception, so I wanted to get something that went well with castles, princes, and princesses.  You know, like right out of Cinderella or Snow White.  After looking at all they had to offer, I finally decided to try online shopping.  So many of my friends have recommended that to me before, but I never really gave it a try. Until now. They were right, I found exactly what I was looking for. The perfect storybook wedding favors for everyone. Now I had to decide if I wanted to package them in favor boxes or just use hang tags for each of them.

Favor boxes would be nice and they really have quite a few gorgeous designed ones, and some that are for the themed wedding I’m having.  But I really didn’t want to take away from the lovliness of the favors.  They would look so nice being displayed on the tables for everyone to see.  They would also go very well with my choice of décor. So, with that in mind, I decided on the tags.

I think I made the right decision, because they really did look lovely on the reception tables. The favor boxes would have been nice too, but I was afraid it would take away from the rest of the table décor.  The tags worked just perfectly. On each one was hang tag printing with the bride and groom names and the date of our wedding. That made them even more special.  Besides, the wedding favors depicted my theme just the way I wanted it, so I didn’t need fancy wrappings.  I received a lot of compliments, not only on the décor and my theme, but the way all my tables were set up.  The centerpieces were absolutely exquisite and had the most colorful flower arrangements. The florist did a fantastic job on them. I had crystal everywhere that it was possible, the vases for the flowers, the champagne flutes and even the wine glasses.  My tables sparkled with elegance and had gorgeous red table cloths to add vibrant color.

Our cake was something special too. Resting on top was a castle cake topper, and the cake itself was white with pink icing and red roses circling each layer.  There were four layers to this cake.  It was really pretty magnificent, if I do say so myself. It was also, really delicious. We cut our cake and everyone cheered, clapped and snapped pictures from every direction in the room. It was totally awesome.

My brother in law gave the toast and everyone raised their champagne flutes to our happiness. Then we had the first dance for the bride and groom.  It was so romantic. I really did feel like I was in a storybook wedding. After that, we pretty much danced, laughed and had a great time.  A lot of my guests came up to me to congratulate us and compliment me on what a wonderful job I did in the planning and how beautiful the ceremony was. Believe it or not, I even got a compliment from one of our guests about the hang tag. She thought that was a great idea putting our names and wedding date on it. So I guess I made the right choice for that. I know I made the right choice when it came to picking a groom.
